Scribbled this up for an au idea I had. Undertale’s setting reminds me a lot of fairytale bedtime stories, so i wanted to think of an au like that.
Yknow how some kids are scared that there’s monsters under their bed or in their closet? In this au, that’s where monsters live! Places like that magically connect to the Underground, where monsters aren’t trapped, they just live there. There’s of course lots of different jobs in the Underground, but one in particular is being a guardian of sorts. Guardians are assigned to a human that they must watch over and protect throughout their life. Sans is Frisk’s guardian and has been since they were a baby. Frisk meets Sans for the first time when they happen to stumble upon a portal to the Underground.
