Jokes can get old, can get worn out–but you’ll never bore of their laughter.

After practicing his jokes for so long (after being aware that he’s delivered the same line again and again with every reset) he was bound to get tired of them himself. At some point, he doesn’t even find his own jokes all that amusing anymore because he’s heard/said them a thousand times.

So when Tori comes in–the best audience he’s ever had–it’s no wonder that she became so important to him. The responses he gets from his jokes are what he lives for, what makes his jokes worthwhile and alive–and Tori gives him the best responses.

Alone, the jokes are just words. It takes two to bring them to life.
