A bunch of you guys noticed that Jesse wears his serape differently in this new comic, but may I point out WHY he probably wears it a different way now?
So here’s him wearing it wrapped up more around his neck and generally out of the way while still being stylish and also likely within Blackwatch’s dress codes (he’s being allowed to wear both his chaps and his hat & belt on this mission so I assume the dress codes are decently lax). Most of the excess fabric of his serape is pushed behind him in a cape-like manner.
At this point in time, Jesse McCree still has both of his arms perfectly intact. However, in the current timeline, Jesse has since lost his left arm. This loss is still fairly new to him. I have an aunt who lost her arm at 18 and at 54 she is still loathe to have it on display, so it fits that Jesse has pushed the extra fabric over to his side some more to have it at an angle. To hide his missing arm.
Someone pointed out a while ago, too, how Jesse seems to hold his arm away from his body, like he’s not sure how to really deal with it just yet. He can use it decently well, but it still seems foreign to him, and overall I think he’d rather just have it hidden away as best as he can manage.
