Honestly my favorite part about Venom was the budding friendship/respect between Eddie and Venom. Some of my favorite things:

  • Venom calling Eddie a loser in the beginning and admitting that he is a loser on his own planet later.
  • Venom telling Eddie that he has changed his mind about Earth bc of Eddie.
  • Eddie asking for help when he knows he’s out of his depth in a situation??
  • “Mask” “Copy”
  • “Parasite???” “It’s a term of endearment!” “APOLOGIZE!!”
  • Venom respecting that Eddie has feelings for Anne!
  • On that note ^^ Venom literally has Eddie confront those feelings bc he knows Eddie might die!
  • Eddie taking into consideration what Venom wants to eat!
  • Eddie teaching Venom the difference between bad and good people!!

Their relationship becomes so healthy and considerate?? 10/10

I really relate to Eddie Brock

the Reasons™️:

• the only thing i ever saw him eat were tater tots and then vemon mentioned chocolate so he probably ate that too cause how would venom kno??

• he said shhh to a cat while being sneaky like it was really about to rat him out

• “you look like shit, eddie” “excuse me” “you look like shit” “well you look…..as beautiful as ever” that’s the most me thing ever

• screamed like a 7 year old girl and then passed out when he saw venoms eyes for the first time

• “oh, more friends” as he is engaged in a high speed chase and is the target of eviiiiiiil

• chatting up the homeless woman and just being nice & sweet even tho he looks scary and has resting bitch face

• was kidnapped and tied to a chair and is being interrogated, “where is he (the symbiote)” listen, i’ve had one of these things up my ass for a while” riot comes out and eddie squeals like a small child “he has one up his ass too!” the sass

Bonus things that made me love the movie even more:

• one of the most iconic things though was when the coppers showed up and pointed all their guns at him and eddie was like “you really shouldn’t do that” and one of the officers was like “masks on” and the rest were like “copy” and then eddie was like “mask on” and venom was like “copy” that was amazing

• eddie being a sweetheart the Whole Ass Movie really this boy is just has the biggest heart

• venom’s “i am venom and you are mine”

• venom: jump (cut to eddie taking the elevator) venom: pussy

• venom being SO insulted when someone calls him a parasite

• “how’d you do that?!” “apparently i have a parasite” “PARASITE” *flings him into the wall dramatically*

• eddie calls venom a parasite again “a paRASITE?!” “its a term of endearment” “APOLOGIZE” “no” “apologize” “no” “apologize” “alright, i’m sorry”

• “on my planet, i was a loser, like you brock.” venom hoNEY YOU CANT JUST DRAG EDDIE LIKE THAT

• “bullshit, what changed your mind?” “you did” akdjdicj i literally made a heart with my hands and my mom started shaking her head

• venom being a bro with how eddie feels about anne the entire movie was really cute

Bonus + my mom after the movie:

me: did you like the movie?

mom: it felt like a love story

me, nodding with a tear in my eye: yes, it really did, didn’t it

Yall know that scene where Venom admits he was kinda a loser on his planet too? Yea in the comics that’s also true but it’s bc this romantic service top symbiote didn’t wanna dominate and use his hosts like the rest of his species, but rather truly bond and live together as one … The same dramatic symbiote that, after effectively being told by Eddie that they need to go on a break, goes away and cries so loud he sends a psychic wave strong enough literally everyone on the planet (and off it) feels it and becomes sad too
